The death of Mrs. Israël (Sophie) Gould, of College Bridge, occurred at the home of her daughter Monday morning (10 mars) following a lengthy illness. She was 79.
Born in Scoudouc, she was the daughter of the late Fidel and Emilie (Melanson) Richard. Her husband died last September.
She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Vernon Hubley (Emilia), Halifax, N.S., Mrs. Joseph M. LeBlanc (Aurore), of College Bridge, with whom she resided, Mrs. Henry LeBlanc (Jeannine), Manchester, Conn., and Mrs. Francis Cormier (Freda), Toronto, Ont.; six sons, Arthur and Norman, Hartford, Conn., Ulysse, Manchester, Conn., Richard, Middleton, Mass., Amédée, Toronto, Ont., Gérald, Seven Islands, Que., Hector and Roger, both of Memramcook East; one sister, Miss Florence, Moncton; two brothers, Norman, Moncton, and Philicien, Scoudouc; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The body is resting at Dupuis funeral home, Memramcook with funeral Thursday at 10 a.m. at our Lady of Lourdes church, Memramcook East. Interment in Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes cemetery.
